CalmSpace with Lumi is a mental wellness companion for breathing, grounding, journaling, calming sounds, reminders, and access to trusted support. It is designed to be local-first: the personal information you enter in the app is stored in the app's private storage on your device unless you choose to share or export it.
This Privacy Policy explains how CalmSpace with Lumi handles information in the Android app and on the website at calmspacewithlumi.com.
The app may store information that you type, choose, or create while using CalmSpace, including your display name, mood check-ins, journal entries, tags, triggers, what helped, breathing minutes, panic-support counts, reminder settings, notification frequency, trusted contact names and phone numbers, selected sounds, volume settings, language, theme, onboarding status, and legal-consent status.
This information is saved in the app's private local storage on your phone. CalmSpace does not require an account and does not upload your journal entries, mood history, grounding answers, trusted contacts, or app settings to a CalmSpace server.
Notifications: if you enable reminders, Android may ask for notification permission so the app can show local reminder notifications. Reminder schedules are stored on your device.
Location: the Nearby Psychological Clinics feature can ask for approximate or precise location permission. When you choose to refresh nearby clinic results, the app uses your last known location to search for nearby clinic-related map data. The app stores saved clinic results locally on your device for later viewing. You can still open a general Maps search without granting location permission.
Internet access: the app uses internet access to check calmspacewithlumi.com/version.json for app update information, open website links you select, and refresh nearby clinic results when you choose that feature.
Sharing: if you choose to share a reminder poster, QR code, SMS message, phone call, email, or map location, the app opens Android's sharing, dialer, messaging, email, or map tools. The information you choose to send is handled by the app or service you select.
When you use the Nearby Psychological Clinics refresh feature, your device location coordinates may be sent to the public OpenStreetMap Overpass API to request nearby clinic, psychologist, psychotherapist, psychiatrist, counselling, or healthcare results. CalmSpace uses the results only to display possible nearby options and save selected clinic details locally on your phone.
Clinic listings may be incomplete or inaccurate. Please verify details before visiting or calling. CalmSpace does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, psychotherapy, or emergency response.
The website may collect limited technical and usage information to understand whether the site works, which sections are viewed, and whether the APK download button is used. This may include a random session ID stored in your browser session storage, page path, event type, viewed section, session duration, approximate country, region, city from hosting headers, and browser user agent.
If you submit website feedback, the website stores your star rating, feedback category, comment, page path, and session ID. Feedback is intended to be anonymous. Please do not include names, phone numbers, email addresses, or private health details in feedback comments.
App data is used to provide the features you request: showing your journal and mood history, generating simple insights, scheduling reminders, keeping trusted contacts accessible, playing sounds, applying app settings, supporting export/import, and helping you find nearby support options.
Website analytics and feedback are used to maintain the site, understand download interest, improve CalmSpace, prevent abuse, and decide what to build or fix next.
CalmSpace does not sell personal or sensitive user data.
CalmSpace does not share your local journal, mood history, grounding answers, trusted contacts, or app settings with advertisers or data brokers.
Information may be processed by service providers that help operate the website and related services, such as hosting, database, analytics storage, app update hosting, and email or feedback workflows. These providers process information only for operating, securing, maintaining, or improving CalmSpace services.
Information may also be shared when you direct it, such as by sending an SMS, starting a call, opening maps, sending email, sharing a reminder image, exporting journal JSON, or importing/exporting files through tools you choose.
We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, legal process, safety obligations, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, CalmSpace, or others.
App data remains on your device until you edit it, delete it in the app, clear app data, or uninstall the app. The Privacy screen includes tools to export journal entries, import journal entries, and delete local app data.
Website analytics and feedback records are kept only as long as reasonably needed to operate, secure, review, improve, or document CalmSpace services. Approved anonymous feedback may appear publicly on the website without names.
CalmSpace uses Android private app storage for local app data and disables Android app backup for this build. Website and app update connections use HTTPS where supported.
No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure. Please avoid writing information in CalmSpace that you would not want stored on your device, and use your device lock screen and operating-system security features.
CalmSpace is a general wellness app and is not directed to children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal information through the website, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
You can choose not to enter a name, journal text, trusted contact, or reminder schedule. You can deny notification or location permission in Android settings. You can use the app without creating an account.
You can review, edit, export, import, or delete journal entries in the app. You can delete local app data from the app Privacy screen or through Android system settings.
We may update this Privacy Policy when CalmSpace features, data practices, legal requirements, or Google Play requirements change. The updated policy will be posted at this page with a new last updated date.
